About
Zora Oberhänsli is a Geneva-based textile designer specializing in machine knitting and crochet. She graduated in Fashion Design from HEAD – Geneva in 2015, and her practice is rooted in craftsmanship, knitwear, and the transmission of technical know-how.
After developing her expertise within fashion houses such as Augustin Teboul and Balmain, and spending several years living between Hawaii and Singapore, where she refined her relationship with color and material, she founded her studio in Geneva, structuring a practice that brings together creation, teaching, and collaboration.
ZORAOBER
ZORAOBER is a knitwear and accessories brand founded by Zora Oberhänsli.
The project focuses on the development of knitted pieces that emphasize structure, material, and color, with particular attention given to process and craftsmanship.
Influenced by both mountain landscapes and urban energy, the pieces explore the beauty of material, colour, and the handmade gesture, through a functional yet sensitive approach.
Each piece is thoughtfully designed, developed, and handmade in the ZORAOBER atelier in Geneva, Switzerland, using natural or upcycled yarns, and produced in limited series.
ZORAOBER advocates for a sustainable, human-scale approach, where time, experimentation, and quality take precedence over mass production.
